Well, hello there!
We are the Theatre Hera Collective! In 2013, Theatre Hera began as a creative outlet for three Ontario-based artists to develop and produce their own works. The collective has grown to deliver professional quality performances of both new and established plays. With a focus on domestic drama, Theatre Hera employs emerging artists and provides the community with riveting productions which are fuelled by the passion of it's members.
Haven’t I seen you before?
That would be correct! In 2015, we used FWYC to raise money for our original productions of GRAPEFRUIT and SALTY BACHELORS. We were overwhelmed by your generosity and we couldn’t have brought our vision to life without your contributions.

WOW! So... now what?
This year we’re producing the controversial SOMEONE WHO’LL WATCH OVER ME by Frank McGuinness, as well as SHUT YOUR MOUTH! A silent film challenge.
SOMEONE WHO’LL WATCH OVER ME follows the story of three men from different backgrounds who have been captured by an unknown enemy. Through naturalism and utter absurdity, the three rely on each other to keep their sanity in a world where everything, even why they’re there, is uncertain.
SHUT YOUR MOUTH! is a silent film challenge, inviting all levels of Toronto filmmakers to submit their work. All submission (new or old) must meet the following requirements:
1. No Spoken Word
2. Maximum 7 minutes in length
3. No Porn! (we know)
Submissions opening soon!
Sounds awesome, what can I do to help?
We're setting up this campaign with a goal of $1,800.00. This funding will establish a foundation on which to build, house, and market both our play and film challenge.
What’s in it for me?
Besides our undying gratitude, we also have several perks for you lovely people as a thank you for helping us take on a project that we care so deeply about.
Our top perk, OWN THE NIGHT, is a Theatre Hera exclusive! A $1000.00 donation will grant you VIP access to a private performance of SOMEONE WHO’LL WATCH OVER ME. That’s right, we’ll give you the entire house to fill up as much or as little as you want, so you’ll never have to worry about a tall person sitting in front of you again.
Don’t have $1,000.00 lying around? Well we’re doing a “Keep What You Raise” campaign so even a $1 donation goes towards helping us!
You guys seem great, how else can I help?
Be sure to keep checking this website for information on new projects, calls for submissions, auditions, and more! Also, we’re hip and/or with it, so visit our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our thespian hearts. We could not succeed without the support of people like you.
With all our love,
